32.

I turned 32 a couple of weeks ago and each year I reflect on the previous year and make a few goals for the upcoming year. As I reflected I realized what a great year 31 was! Ian joined our family, Claire turned two and is an amazing big sister, although we didn't get a family vacation this year we had lots of family come visit us, I had a girls' weekend in San Diego with college girls for Katie's wedding, court case is over, it's been a good year at work, Eric and I have started going on dates again and found a great babysitter...overall just a very satisfying year!

Now on to 32! We have made the official decision that our family is complete and that actually allows us to look toward the future and plan with what we have right now which is a great feeling. We will have a big garden this spring and we are going to start slowly working on projects in the house. I am going to focus on my health and get back into a workout routine and shed this baby weight, cook healthy meals with fresh ingredients for the family, and get the kids outside for fresh air in the evenings! We actually do a pretty good job of this, but I want to do better. It was a rough year financially and we will work on that in 2012. We will travel! We already have a trip to KC planned in a couple weeks for Tyler's wedding, going to Naples for Thanksgiving, and Nebraska next summer! So it's going to be a good year!

Look what a great idea this is for a birthday...I'm going to do a version of this for the big 33! Love what a great lesson that is for kids!

  1. What a great idea!! I love that stuff. I think the day after Thanksgiving two years ago, people continued to pay forward each others Starbucks drink in the drive-thru for over two hours. It's pretty amazing. I may have to do a variation for my big 33 too! Let me know if I can help you with yours at all!
