apples, crawling, and pictures...oh my!

It's been an amazing fall and I'm pretty sure I've accomplished all my favorite fall activities! Apple picking, check. Kettle corn, check. Pumpkin patch, check. Hayride, check. Kids jumping in leaves, check. Apple butter, check.

Ian has been crawling since September 30th! I came home from a work conference in Phoenix and he just came crawling over to me...mommy was SO proud! He was very close for about a week before that, but it's so special to see the little look on their face when they finally figure out how to be mobile! I just realized I have not ONE picture of him crawling yet. I'll fix that and get it on here cause it's adorable.

We got our family pictures done yesterday and man, what a relief! I have been wanting pictures taken for along time but wanted to wait until Ian was old enough to support himself and of course I love the fall colors! I am very excited to see how they turned out, although a certain two year old was completely not in the mood. Luckily I don't have expectactions that all family members have to be looking at the cameral and smiling to consider it a success! HA! I couldn't believe how difficult it was to try and coordinate a family of five. I look at so many family pictures from blogs, Christmas cards, etc and it all just looks wonderful. And then I started trying to put it together and man...it was hard! I am anxious to see how all our outfits work together.

I also took a professional photography class a few weeks ago to learn how to better use my SLR camera. I'm going to get out of my comfort with the "Auto" setting and learn how to use this darn thing! Stay tuned!
