"Mommy, hug me!"

Sending my kids to daycare was hard for me. I loved being home with them for 12 weeks and enjoyed every exhausted moment of it because I knew it wouldn't last long. When I had to make the plunge two weeks ago I knew it was the right thing to do for our family right now (and I must admit it was fun to shower every day and put on makeup!). I called during the day to check on my little guy who sticks his tongue out when you try and feed him a bottle. I didn't have to take Claire until she was a little over a year since Eric stayed home with her, so it is very different taking a three month old who is still completely dependent on momma.

And then it happened...I walked into the toddler room and heard the most glorious words, "Mommy! Hug me!" Her arms were out-stretched and she was beaming! It was awesome. I have been greeted that way everyday for the last two weeks and it makes it much easier on mommy's heart. And everyday I turn the corner toward the facility I hear, "Friends, there it is!" I love my Claire Marie.
